NextPlayerON Preparatory
Summer 2021 Esports competiition
NextPlayerON presents NPO Prep supported by esports Education Advancement Group as an afterschool high school league in the esports industry that is geared to increasing awareness and benefits of the link between electronic gaming and educational enrichment. With the world rapidly adapting to changes in learning due to the pandemic our afterschool program remains in a virtual state until it is evident and clear of danger from on-site afterschool venues used for purposes of preparing and engaging in competitive varsity esports. The NPO Prep league will consist of 3 separate seasons (Spring, Summer and Fall seasons) to be exact. The league schedule begins and end tentatively in this
order:
Spring League: Begins the 3rd Wednesday of January and ends on Friday the first week of May each year.
Summer League: Begins Final Monday in June and ends on the First Friday in August.
Winter League: Begins on the last Monday in September and ends the 2nd Wednesday in December.
Spring and Winter League has the same format and arrangement, whereas the summer league is different altogether and rewards are also awarded for different reasons. All seasons are intertwining the love and enjoyment of esports and how to increase determination, perseverance and team work to achieve goals that may come in life, work or even in play and learning how to respect each other and accept each other’s differences and see them as assets and strengths moving forward.
Summer leagues will reward the players and students desire to train and improve and be self-motived in all areas of life through gaming. These rewards will include student with the most wins per school district, student with the most games played per school district, student with the highest win percentage per school district in a free for all type setting. Spring and Fall leagues will have each school form competitive teams that represent the school and the celebrity and influencer that is sponsoring that district (most likely this will be an current NFL or NBA player) which will play against each other for practice and against other competitive school teams in a varsity manner until a playoff hierarchy is established by wins and losses throughout the season at which the winner of the playoffs are awarded the championship trophy and scholarships or paid internships or chance to travel abroad post- graduation. As esports is now a curriculum that is offered at the collegiate under grad and master’s level this is also allowing them to pursue continuing education by an additional means and pathway that is now available through our educational gaming platform.
